# Flutter + Firebase Function starter The Flutter app records AAC/M4A with `record`, signs in anonymously, and sends the take to a Firebase HTTPS Function that holds the TonePerfect key. ```sh cd functions && npm install firebase functions:secrets:set TONEPERFECT_API_KEY # start with a tp_test_ key firebase deploy --only functions:assess # note the function URL cd .. && flutterfire configure flutter run --dart-define=ASSESS_URL=https://assess-xxxx.a.run.app ``` Add microphone permissions: `NSMicrophoneUsageDescription` in `ios/Runner/Info.plist` and `` in `android/app/src/main/AndroidManifest.xml`. The function rejects calls without a Firebase ID token. Anonymous sign-in keeps the sample short; for a real app require your normal sign-in and add a per-user quota (for example a Firestore counter) before calling the API.
