Test keys, status probe, per-plan limits, starter projects

  • Test keys (tp_test_): fixed example results, never billed, safe in browser code; TonePerfect-Test-Outcome rehearses error handling.
  • GET /v1/status: a synthetic assessment through the engine every few minutes, with 24-hour and 7-day success rate; the status page reads it.
  • GET /v1/terms lists assessments in progress per plan and the engine timeout; 429 account_busy now carries Retry-After.
  • SDK 0.2 (Python and Node.js): lint(), status(), compact responses, test keys and a toneperfect-lint command line.
  • Three starter projects.

Browser calls, compact schema, reference check, MCP

  • Every /v1 route answers CORS preflight requests, so browser prototypes can call the API (keep production keys on a server).
  • Opt-in compact response (TonePerfect-Response: compact, schema toneperfect.compact.v1) with a stability promise; engine-internal raw output is inlined up to 64 KB and available up to the configured debug limit with TonePerfect-Debug: raw.
  • POST /v1/lint checks a reference text with the engine's rules before you record. Free, no key.
  • An MCP server at /v1/mcp for AI agents: list languages, check text, score a recording, explain a tone mistake.
  • When fewer free credits are left than a recording needs, it now uses the ones left instead of being refused.
  • The dashboard shows an integration checklist and every refused request (402, 429…) with what to do.
  • GET /v1/terms publishes the supported commercial terms from the billing code; new terms, privacy and status pages.

Russian, Korean and Japanese; clearer reference errors

  • Language packs for Russian (ru-RU), Korean (ko-KR) and Japanese (ja-JP), labelled beta.
  • invalid_assessment errors now say exactly what is wrong with the reference text (digits, Latin words in Mandarin, untoned pinyin, wrong script).
  • Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese sentence scores no longer sit far below the word scores of the same recording.

Free credits and a live demo

  • Every account gets 50 free credits, no card and no subscription.
  • Record yourself on the homepage and see the real engine result without an account.
  • Crawlable documentation, a 5-minute quickstart, /openapi.json and /llms.txt.
