When Speechace is still the better choice
- You need English exam rubrics (IELTS, CEFR, PTE, TOEIC) or lexical stress and intonation scores.
- You score unscripted speech (Speechace Premium, up to two minutes). TonePerfect is scripted only, 30 seconds maximum.
- You need regional variants such as UK English or Canadian French.

Integration is one multipart request: the recording, the reference text and a locale to POST /v1/assess. You read scores.overall, a score per word in words[], expected vs heard sounds in words[].phones[], and a decision per word (or, in Mandarin, per initial, final and tone).
